Fernando Heleno started providing technical translations in 1997, initially specialising in the areas of management and engineering. Customers were quick to recognise the quality of the services provided, and demand increased rapidly.

Some years later, with several million words already translated, Diogo Heleno joined Multilingues21 - Traduções e Edições Técnicas Multilingues, Lda. At the same time, our offices moved to Parque das Nações in response to our need for more spacious premises to meet the demands of this rapid growth.

Fernando Heleno currently leads one of the best groups of professional technical and legal translators and specialists in a variety of technical fields. Multilingues has an in-house team of Portuguese and foreign translators and revisers. All hold higher education qualifications (Degree and/or Masters) and have vast experience, and the company makes significant investments in on-the-job training and assessment.

Multilingues has produced thousands of high-quality translations, delivering the perfect product for each specific need at the most competitive price. Since the company was established, we have translated over 70 million words in more than 25 languages through both our in-house team and freelance partners around the world, all of whom possess verified qualifications and experience. General Manager: Fernando Heleno

He completed his Undergraduate Degree in Electronic Engineering, before moving on to a Masters in Electronic Engineering and Information Systems, both from the Higher Technical Institute in Lisbon.  He then went on to various management roles at the former TLP. His career progressed as Director and Board Member of several companies in the Portugal Telecom Group. With broad experience in the areas of management and technology, at the Portugal Telecom Group he was responsible for some of the pioneering efforts by Portuguese companies to expand internationally. He later completed a Post-Graduate course in Linguistics.

Operations and IT Manager: Diogo Heleno

Diogo Heleno has training in IT and graduated with a degree in Public Relations and Communication Studies from the University of Exeter, in the UK. With prior experience in the field of hotels and tourism, he specialised in internet and information technology and is now responsible for internal processes, information management and projects to standardise the use of the internet platform across the company’s various partners.
